Yes, OKULON is operated on-premise directly in your production facility. This gives you full control over your data, processes and systems, while all modules are available in real time.
OKULON is currently used as an on-premise solution and offers all functions directly on site in your production. The architecture is already cloud-ready, so that a cloud version can be easily implemented as the needs of our customers increase. This means that we are future-proof and can react flexibly to different requirements.
Sensitive information such as passwords is stored in the database in accordance with current security standards. Because the servers are on-premise, the customer has full control over their data and there is no need for a permanent external connection.
For older machines, we recommend using IoT connectors such as Adam modules to intercept simple signals from the machine.
Machines can be connected via REST, OPC-UA or ADAM modules.
So far, there is an interface with SAP. However, other ERP systems can also be connected if required.
Yes, OKULON can in principle also be used without an ERP system, as it independently controls manufacturing processes and collects machine data. However, the combination with an ERP system increases the benefits because inventories, orders and material flows are synchronized directly. In this way, the system remains flexible and can be integrated into existing IT landscapes as required.
OKULON can be seamlessly integrated into the existing IT landscape. Windows SSO and, in future, identity providers such as Entra ID can be used for login.
To use OKULON, you need a stable IT infrastructure with server and network capacities, which we will check together in advance. Machines and systems should provide interfaces for data collection so that continuous integration is possible. It is also important to define clear project goals so that we can tailor the implementation to your processes and requirements. For optimal use, PCs should be available at every connected workstation.

The implementation of OKULON is usually carried out jointly: Geislinger takes over project management, consulting and system setup, while experienced partners can also be involved for specific integrations or adjustments if required. In this way, we ensure that the system is professionally installed, optimally adapted to your processes and runs smoothly.

OKULON is provided as a perpetual license, which means that the use of the system does not expire. However, if maintenance is canceled, updates and support will no longer be available. Although the system remains usable, new functions or technical support are then no longer available.
OKULON is offered through Concurrent licenses, which are purchased once as a perpetual license. There is only a maintenance fee per year, which includes updates and support. Each module is licensed separately so that you can use exactly the functions that are relevant to your production.
